Yahoo Doesn’t Like Me

by Jack Humphrey

Lots of changes have happened here in Friday Traffic Report Land in the last year.

I used to have a squeeze page up on this domain which led to the blog you are presently gazing at. (Or leering at depending on your mood.)

That page, I was told by [TAG]Yahoo[/TAG] officials, was too repetetive on the ‘ol keywords for their liking and that’s “all we can say.”

Actually they didn’t even tell me the page, I just surmized that since the rest of my site was this blog, and that I use it like a normal blogger (who makes money from blogging, not the hippy bloggers who hate all marketing) that it could only BE the squeeze page.

Now that offending page is down, and Yahoo is without a relevant site in their rankings for a good deal of keywords.

At least until they decide I have “suffered” enough.

So how relevant are Yahoo’s online marketing, blog promotion, and like results without me? Not so much is all I can say.

Big dumb search engine.
