Twitter User Directories

by Jack Humphrey on Dec 30

Below are some Twitter directories I’ve found.  A Twitter directory can be many things, but the main point is getting listed in your category so people using the directiories can find you on Twitter.

You can often put links back to your blog in these directories as well.

Surely this can’t be all of them.  Have you found a good Twitter user directory?  Please share!

@georgeb - I left TwitDir out because I got a weird vacation message on their site today. I remember reading about twitterholic.com somewhere - thanks for the reminder!

This is not quite a directory but it’s similar. You can search Twitter for topics and it ranks the tweets based on the authority ranking of the poster:

Jack,

Thanks for the little “big up” for Omnee. We’re getting there! We’ve just added a ratings structure and will soon be extending this through upcoming APIs from Twinfluence and Retweetrank. That way, we will have a “hyrbrid” authority-based directory where users can “channel” their authority through the tags they have submitted.

The beauty of using tags is that they don’t necessarily relate to “groups” but can be any entity the user sees fit, something else I hope to exploit in upcoming releases.

We may be small, we may not be popular, but we’re sure firing out new ways of thinking!

Watch this space,

Mark

Neeto-

I just added my info to Just Tweet It. They have a nice layout for different categories, like a traditional directory. Good Find.
