What the FWICK is FWICKY?
September 18, 2006
Sherman Hu just broke this story on his site.
FWICKY is a combination of AJAX, Mashup, and aggregation to combine any number of feeds to have one page you can check for all your most read feeds, like Friday Traffic Report! (See my FWICKI)
Sherman also discusses the thing that excites me most about it: You can feed your mashup of several feeds to your site for regular updating content.
What the FWICK are you waiting for? Go get a FWICKI - it’s free!

August 14, 2006
Want to clean up your act? “Omea” by JetBrains is about the slickest way to get your bookmarks, files, email, PDF docs, and several other things you need in once place.
And, being a fan of organization PROGRAMS, yet not a fan of using them after about a week of promising I would, this one might just change my modus operandi.
From JetBrains page:
“Omea Pro allows you to process, organize, and quickly search all your digital resources that can be any kind of content stored on your computer: e-mails, RSS and ATOM feed posts, newsgroup articles, instant message conversations, favorite web sites, personal contacts, and files.”
You can associate files, emails, feeds, news, and web pages into groups and you can make work groups.
It lets me search my entire hard drive and, I expect over time, will have me pulling up information from the darkest reaches of my drive far faster and more efficiently than with the agonizing slowness we’ve all come to love from Microsoft’s built in search function.
If I cannot get organized with this app - I am doomed.
Perfect for info junkies, marketers, researchers, and anyone wanting to find their stuff, read feeds, and get more work done faster.
I am not an affiliate. Just reporting what I think folks!
