My top Social Power Linking traffic sources last week…
February 26, 2007
Scanning my log files I noticed some traffic sources, other than search engines, pushing more traffic than others last week.
Telling you about my top producers should help you to get into Social Power Linking more knowing what is working rather than fumbling around trying out everything yourself.
I try them all, so I will continue reporting on what’s working so you can save some time and focus only on producers.
This site is simple. You get a toolbar button when you sign up and you can “Like” or “Dislike” any site or page you wish. You can mark up your pages, but it is also good to vote for other sites in your niche for research purposes.
This is helpful because StumbleUpon.com creates a track record of your surfing habits and you can “Stumble” to new sites and resources you’ve never seen before to keep up on your niche.
2. PlugIM.com
I’ve mentioned these guys before, but they continue to send me traffic as I post “stories” (like this post) on their Digg-style site. Everytime I post there I get trafficf and it takes literally under a minute.
I do this everytime I post.
3. MarkTD.com
Same thing as above. Both are for marketing content, but sites like this are popping up all over the place and will continue to do so over the next year. You should be able to find sites like these in your niche now or soon.
I like these kinds of sites so much I made one for the Friday Traffic Report.
If you have marketing related content, put my IMNews on your list to post to often.
It’s brand new and most categories have nothing in them, but as you can see, I am sending traffic over there and it will fill up and start generating good targeted traffic on its own very soon.
It would pay to be the first in a category!

Targeted Traffic From Social Networks…
January 19, 2007
I’ve been completely floored this week by the way MyBlogLog.com has taken off.
Sometimes it seems like a big company has to buy in to really get the current community to explode! And it has.
My MBL network has grown a lot this week and everyone seems to be posting comments on each others community pages like mad now.
My traffic from the MyBlogLog.com community has tripled this week just from participating and surfing over there.
If you are a blogger and you aren’t in the MyBlogLog world yet, you best get stompin’! And don’t forget to join the Blog Promotion group as your first order of business.

Spicy Page is also really taking off. It is really fun to watch new communities grow. And I like helping them do it.
It is a blog voting and popularity community. People who sign up seem to be surfing through the other members and commenting on other blogs, usingthe system to discover new content in the blogosphere.
I like the neat twist they put on the community system and I can’t wait to see what they do with the video hosting tab which is still under construction.
My traffic from SpicyPage.com is going up and I am getting new readers and subscribers from them.

I will have a list of all the new social networks I’ve discovered soon. Things are definitely going vertical instead of just large, general communities.
For instance, I found a new story posting place like Digg, but just for marketers and marketing content. It’s called PlugIm.
This site is sending me daily targeted traffic just by posting my posts and articles there for readers to pick up.
Make sure you take some time soon to “get social.” My stats are up across the board from taking a bit of time each day to interact with neat services like these, so it is time well spent.
