TrackBoost: 5 Minutes to Killer Backlinks!

April 27, 2008

Be honest. How much time did you spend last week getting relevant, keyword-laden backlinks from other bloggers in your niche?

10 minutes? An hour? None at all? Watch this video on a new piece of software that will change the game so you can finally take advantage of the kind of link building you SHOULD be doing without spending more time on your blog. In fact, you’ll spend less!

Trackbacks are a pain to remember each time you do a post. Yet there are likely a lot of people talking about the same topic you just posted about out in the blogosphere. People who are more than willing to to link back to YOU talking about THEM.

And not only that, but they will gladly link back to you using your post title as the link. Think SEO. Think keyword anchor text links.

Then think…Trackboost.

Everyone is in a hurry once they’ve finished a post. No one wants to get done with a post and then have to go out and search the Sphere for relevant further information and posts that their readers would appreciate.

Everyone knows the value of a good link. People spend a TON of time trying to get them. Yet bloggers rarely spend enough time on trackbacks, some of the best linkage you can get for direct traffic and SEO. This is because it extends the amount of time you have to work on each post doing the research, grabbing trackback links, and setting the links to the posts you recommend in the post you just made.

The entire mess has been corrected. Watch this video and you’ll see. Bloggers are gaining a new best friend this week.

Trackboost comes out this week. Watch this spot for the release and then grab it and get all your posts linked up with no sweat!

Once again you have come up with an amazing time saver and a tool that would be hard to live without once we get a chance to use it. You guys are amazing you not only think of these tools you have them developed and then share with us and let us no that they are out their. Great work!!

    Jack-

I’m so excited for this to come out! I’m actually in the process of redoing our entire blog and have been training interns on how to blog…

At first it was pretty hard, but then I gave them both a copy of Authority Black Book and now they’re kind of up to speed on Web 2.0. It’s actually really ironic that you are releasing TrafficBoost because I just downloaded “Comment Kahuna” and wanted to know more about Track-Backs and I saw your post on Facebook! Such perfect timing! I’m definitely looking forward to this!

    I also had a question Jack…

I’ve been a user of ASC in the past and was wondering if it is at all possible to be able to take our existing blog, and sign up to ASC with it so that it still contains all of our posts?? Let me know when you get a chance.

Anyway, thanks again for this cool software and goodluck with everything!

With all your background and expereince could you set up an overview page giving the basic framework of useful blog tools and their cost in total? - That would help us, who are more concerned with our content than with the smart traffic generation tools :-) Thanks in advance.

Jack, I’ve been using Trackboost quite a bit, but you wouldn’t believe (or maybe you would) what a bunch of idiots there are in the UK Motorhome Hire business. I swear some of them thought that me linking to them was going to hurt their rankings.

  26. Thw Wholesale Guy on April 28th, 2008 3:36 pm

    This is a great tool…

However, I wonder how many blogs within a particular niche will allow trackbacks?

If you are looking for niche specific blogs to develop your keywords around, and a good portion of those blogs have anti-spam measures in place, what then?

I use SEO Quake in my Firefox Browser to identify no follow tags within blogs.

With the proliferation of track back and comment spam - a lot of blogs will not post comments right away.

Also, most will not give you any “link juice” because their is speculation that they will bleed their PR rankings if they give away too many links on one page.

I think that is a bogus reason, but, there might be some evidence for it, I am just not sure.

When you do find a blog that allows track backs, if the page is no-follow, then how do you get ranked for that keyword if the bots are not allowed to crawl it?

Or, are you just going for a trackback link with keyword, and don’t worry about the no follow tags?

I have also heard that sometimes Yahoo and Google ignore no - follow - and - well - follow anyway! Your thoughts?

Don’t get me wrong, I like the software and would probably buy it.

I guess I am just wondering out loud how effective it will be with the blogosphere being so vigilent about spam these days, and the lack of “link love” there is among some bloggers..

Thanks, Jack, good videos - all..

    Hi Jack
This is a great tool for sure. I do have a question though. If you have links to other blogs in your post, and then get a link back to your site via the trackback,, is this not seen as a reciprocal link in the eyes of the SE’s? (We’ve all been told that reciprocal links have less influence for SEO purposes nowadays). Keep up the good work.

    Cheers

Wow… what a really useful program! its looks very user friendly too.

I have never actually done any trackbacks with my blog because it just seemed so complicated.

Two questions, does it use your current WP ping list, or is that a separate list.
Also does it filter out No Follow blogs, or is there a way to tell which are no follow within the program?

    Looks great!

    Hi Jack,

You’re certainly not whistling dixie here. I used some great advice from an earlier e-mail and back links do work well leading onto my sites.

This video is certainly most intriguing and I’m all ears and eyes. I’m not forgetting to turn on m y brain too of course.

But I just realized something about site blogs with their no-follow tags. How does one overcome that? I suppose you’ll hav a simple surprise answer soon.

You talk about the “old way” and still more secrets of the blogosphere. I can tell you, I’m right up there with the ancient world secrets too.

I’m awaiting the next installment. Thanks.

“If you are looking for niche specific blogs to develop your keywords around, and a good portion of those blogs have anti-spam measures in place, what then?”

Luckily doing trackbacks isn’t spam. It is a nod of approval to another blog for having good content that you appreciate enough to link to.

You can’t muddy up the waters, I’ve learned, when it comes to productivity tools and wondering how spammers are going to use them, or not, to spam people.

It is a losing battle that will keep you from using a tool responsibly because of a fear that you are seen in the same light as a spammer. You are not - as long as you are not spamming.

The legitimate blogosphere is not turning their trackbacks off because of spam. It would be stupid not to MODERATE comments and trackbacks, but the vast vast majority of blogs that you’d even want to take the time to be on are not dumb enough to disallow trackbacks or comments.

Think of the implications. You’ve just turned your dynamic, Web 2.0 publishing platform into a regular website with a one-way conversation.

Real bloggers are not doing this.

re: no follow comments and questions

The beauty of marketing the way I teach is not having to worry one bit about no follow links. We get links for people to follow on high traffic sites. If the search engines follow the links, which they do for a great percentage of them, and rank us for them, then so much the better.

At the end of the day we are looking for links that people, not search engines, follow. And we know that by not working so darned hard at finding JUST follow links, we will hit all kinds of sites that have their sites set up properly - with follow links - and we’ll benefit with direct traffic and SE traffic.

You see, if you just go forth and link without worry about these types of things, you are free, truly free, to market, network, and prosper without worrying about things that won’t help you in the long run to worry about.

I get a TON of traffic everyday because I link no matter what. I get that traffic from sites with no follow on my links. But I get real live interested visitors, subscribers and customers from those links. I put links where real live people read and click, therefore the search engine benefits are a BONUS and not a requirement for me to link.

I have been doing this for 10 years and this is the happiest, most excited, and most relaxed I have ever felt about marketing online.

DO NOT get bogged down in the debate of follow/no follow and all the other things that merely destroy your efficiency and a main source of traffic because you refuse to link to a site that has no follow.

That site could have sent you 10-100+ targeted, cash-ready buyers. That’s not something anyone can afford to lose just because of the ridiculous debate over no follow and the feeling that the only valuable link on the web is a “followed” link.

(I guarantee all links on the web are followed by the engines regardless of the link rel tag associated with them anyway!)

    Hi Jack,

My fourth try posting at this blog. I couldn’t upload my comments last night. Your servers must have been running red hot!

You’re not just blowing into the wind about blogging on good blog sites. I tried it from an earlier blog message several weeks ago and they do work. I’ve been getting links to my sites from them and ranking well too.

To top it off, I’m new to this web game and some of those “experienced” guys who’ve been giving me advice had told me the opposite and now I’m showing up in well ranked places where they’re not and boy are they ever annoyed. They laugh at me because I don’t even know how to work or know what a plug-in is.

Now, this new stuff you’re showing us is really going to drive them crazy. Well, keep teaching this ancient world secrets guy more good new tricks. I’m always game to learn and apply. Keep helping me show up these know-it-alls (hah).

Hi Jack… I’m a very satisfied user of utility poster and now I’m thinking of purchasing trackbooster. But this is my complication…I’m living in the Netherlands and I’m blogging in the Dutch language. I know it’s hard to believe but I’m nearly the only blogger in my niche ( so nothing to trackback here ) . Now I want to ad a category ” international ” on my blog. And post in this category English articles, and make some trackbacks in it. But ofcourse I can’t expect a lot of traffic to my Dutch blog. But I still can use trackbooster for seo ( backlinks ) purpose . My question now is…does this make sense? Because I’m having also pagerank leak to the sites I’m linking to.

    Thanks!

  49. Jack Humphrey on June 21st, 2008 8:31 am

    SaSh,

Don’t worry about leaking pagerank. Google says we have to link out to relevant sites and then supposedly penalizes us at the same time.

THIS blog links out far more than most sites on the web that aren’t directories and I have a pr 5. So pagerank leakage is a myth for me anyway. In any case, you can’t stop linking because you owe your readers good information and it takes away a massive part of your marketing campaign to do so.

So don’t worry about that part.

As to the English version of your content, only if your site is geo-specific, then using TrackBoost to draw links will be more for engines than readers, but I bet you can also figure out how to make money from non-Dutch traffic.
